6br/87gr. V-Max load

I need some help..I have a good selection of powders. Varget,H-335,H-322,bl-c[2],H-380,IMR-4895,IMR-4064,AA-2460and R-15. Primers are CCI BR4,CCI-450,WSR and Fed 205m. 87 gr. V-Max bullets. My rifle is a Cooper 21 with a 1:8 twist barrel.I would like to stay with some combination of the above componets.

I would go with Varget and try both the BR-4's and 205M's.

I don't have a 6br anymore but I have been fire forming 6brx from 6br brass using 87 grain v-max bullets, 30.0 grains of IMR-4895 and federal 205M primers
@ 2780 fps, I was busting gal milk jugs tonight with them from 400-600 yards in a 15 mph cross wind with no problems, my fire forming barrel is only a 1:10 @ 20" so you may get better velocity than that.

I like h322,I get great results with average groups in the .1's and .2's.

The Hodgon loading manaul only goes to 80 gr. Do you have a start load for H322 and which primer are you using.

My best results with that bullet and a 6br was with R-15 and WSR primers. Also had good luck with 4895 and WSR primers. Try working up to around 31-32gr of one of the other powder and you might have to play with your seating depth as well. Let us know how it turns out. WD

87 v-max Hornady 30.4 Varget FED 205 Match

I shot this load in the P-pog fields in my 1:8 6br. I have since switched to only Wolf primers (in all my small primer cases) last year when the primer shortage hit us all. The groups are the same. Have not chronographed the loads, but I imagine they are like all my other loads that I switched, and the wolf actually gives me better SD and ES numbers.

This load has been my varmint/fox load for 2 years it shoots in the .3's and is running at 3080fps out of a 26'' 1/8 twist.

BC is listed at .400 on Hornady's web site.....I've used these for years in .243 Win. and since I now have a 6mmBR barrel I can't wait to see what it can do with them.
