6BR 65 gr Berger-Varget

Start low and work up, Do Not use someone's load in your rifle with out working up the charge. If you have no data to start with go to the Hodgdon's web site, it's free.

I would start at 29 gr and ladder up. I've not shot 65's before but use Bart 68 Gr Ultras in my Savage 6mmbr. I have tried 70 gr Bergers being pushed by Varget, but they quit making them (I think). Bart's just shot a little better in my particular rifle so I stuck with the Bart's. I also was loading just touching the lands. You'll have to do some testing to find the "sweet load" that your rifle likse the best. But 29gr of Varget is a safe place to start for that 100 - 200 distance. Just don't forget to watch for pressure signs as you increase your powder loads. Good luck and have fun.
