69 Eld VT bullets?

I just watched a YouTube video of a guy shooting 22 Creedmoor 69 ELDVT ammo out of a Ruger American. It shot legit 1/2 minute. 3400 fps. I'm assuming that is standard length ammo and I'm not sure that was near the lands.

Apparently this one is much more forgiving than the 62 ELDVT.
If anyone listens to Hornady podcasts, episode #204 from October 15, 2025 goes into great detail on why they developed the 69 specifically for the higher velocity 22’s and why the 62 is a poor choice for higher velocities and was designed for 22 ARC capacity cases. They also explain clearly why twist rates were chosen and how the gyroscopic stability numbers should considered when choosing a certain bullet/velocity combination.

Info that we have figured out since.

That info would have been nice to have from the beginning. Simply saying "these can't be overspun or they shoot like crap" would have been helpful.

I got the 62 gr eldvt avg 3730 in a little cloverleaf 22-6 1-7.5 tw

I have a couple box's of the 62's on hand, and one box of the 69's that I should have delivered tomorrow. I have four .224's platforms to try them in.
My Bolt Action 223 with a Brux fast twist and an AI Magazine. It was set up to shoot 80's and 90's loaded long, and should work reasonably well I would think.
The next candidate is a 22-250AI with a fast twist Douglas Barrel.
Next up would be a 22 Nosler M48 Handgun.
Then my 22 ARC AR15.
I may drag my feet a little more waiting on better weather to work with them.

Anyone gotten ahold of some of these? I ve got the 62 gr one and it’s been accurate if close to lands.

Just curious if this 69 gr version is much different, how much longer, etc. The 62 s measure 1.050” in length .. I d think a 69 might push 1.1”+ long. BC is claimed at .427 vs .397 for 62 grainers.
What caliber? How close to the lands? What is the free bore of your rifle? Thanks!!
