66 gr Barts in 243

Just loaded some 66 gr Barts in a 243 . In the past I have only used them in 6PPC , BUT THOUGHT I would give them a spin in the 243 , loaded them with 33.8 gr H322 . Will see how they do .
Has anyone else tried them in 243 and if so how did they do ?
What powders did you use ?
Thanks , Kenneth

How far out did you seat them ? H322 seems too fast, i would try for more case fill. Varget? Cfe223 ? Superformance ? -- - H322 is not showing as an option in the hogdon manual.

superformance. )

H322 is too fast of a powder for the .243. You would be much better off using a medium burning rate powder. I like RL-15 and H380 are two of my favorites.

Thanks everyone , I had my head up my arse when I posted this, they weren't Bart bullets , they were Fowler .
And one batch of some unknown bullets that an old gunsmith had told me to try marked 71.5 gr . He didn't recall what they are either , but both shot just under an inch . The H322 was a recommended load for most accurate in a Sierra load manual for these bullet weights.
Possible that playing with COAL might tighten them up , but not sure if it will make a tack driver load .
But trying it will certainly tell the tale .
Got a nephew that has a 6.5 Creedmore in a Ruger precision that shoots pretty darn tight and want to develope a load to give him a run for his money ..
Right now just playing with various bullets I have on hand .
Will also try some powders that were recommended. Again , Thanks
Edited it to say .006 off the lands .

Winchester 760 is what I used, Fed 210 primer, Win or Rem brass, zero freebore throats.

Slight jam worked best on accuracy, in spades

Accuracy will be real close to a max load for the rifle and expect very tiny groups.

We killed a lot of coyotes with 60-68g bullets, they died quick, with Win 760 in all bullet weights.

Just looked , I was wrong , it was my 748 that was in a round can , the 760 was in a plastic square jug , 18.99 price sticker on it , so it's 20 years or more old . But might still be good .
