Looking for ideas on loads for EITHER a 6BR or 6 Dasher....

I have the dasher reamer,BUT i might send it in for a re-grind to a 6BR.

This is just for shooting varmints...

Primarily looking for 65gr. loads but since i have a 14 twist i`ll listen to any info from 55 to 70grs.

Thanks guy`s.....

Phil.

I've been very lucky with my Dakota Predator in 6 BR with a load I found on this website. 33.0 grs. V-135 / Lapua / 205m / 65 gr V-Max set at a C.O.L. with a square mark from the rifling. It's a true 1/4" load. Don't tell anyone!!!

phil i have been shooting the 65 V-max in the 14 twist 6BR for along time. i think it's the most accurate varmint bullet you can get. I use a cci 450 primer, 30.5 gr RL10x out of my 24" tube at 3,515 FPS it's really about as good as it gets..

I have played with about every bullet and powder out there. there are alot of good ones and loads. But in the stabilitly day in day out 30deg F to 90+ DEG F I go with the RL10 and the 65 V max....I also am very fond of H335 with the 65 V max.. IMR 8208 seems to work better with the 70GR's and i have a decent load with a 70gr SBK and a full case of 8208. I really would not give 2 cents for any load with N135 allthough it does shoot good at 100yrds on paper. but its unstable day to day in the field..

I have had my best loads with the 65 grain Vmaxes using VV N133 with around 30-31 grains. I have a Remington 40XBR with a .266" neck and a 1 in 12" twist. I have tried FJIM's RL10 loads as well they shoot good too. I just get a cleaner burn with the N133.

I shoot 30.5gr of 2015BR (still workin on 4 jugs I bought in '95 so it might be a bit different than current) with either the 65Vmax or 70TNT. POI is within 1/4". Velocity 3410fps with the 65gr. Krieger 14 twist @ 26". Haven't shot alot of groups on paper but what I have are smaller than they should be for me. lol Have shot a few pdogs out to 400yd with it but majority I choose to shoot it at are 200 to 350yds. Not pretty.
