Gonna start loading the ammo for it in the next couple days. All goes well, i get my scope back in time, and it will be my first match of the year....gonna hopefully make it a weekend trip for the wife and I.

Rod,

Do you have flyers I can get up at the store in Grand Forks?

Send me them or whatever works.

See you on the 24th!

Counting down the days. Still licking my wounds from my first 1000 yd match (yesterday at Bismarck). Met some great people and a very nice facility so it was fun and memorable, but challenging. 1000 is an an eye-opener without question. Drew

Way to go Drew, saw your name on the Moffit score board and thought awesome, he is upping his game.

Hope to see ya at the Icebreaker..... I expect to be back home for that.

Rod

If you know of any interested parties, I am giving another F-Class Seminar at Scheels on 45th, Weds eve May 21 at 1800.

Do very much plan on the 24th, as well as most matches this summer in the area. Will likely travel up to GF for some practice between now and then. Clearly need it. Eric from DL wanted me to say hello. He was in my group, he's quite a shooter. Drew

Moffit was fun & "breezy" as usual!! Good bunch of guys for sure and Coby was his usual self..fun to listen to!! I'll do my best to bring the 6SLR up to GFK for the IceBreaker!! Some new shooters who did phenomenally well for their first time out @ 1K, good to see! Eric in DL

Looking more like I'll be there. Got my scope back and got it mounted, just need to get it zeroed. Wife sounds interested in tagging along, even if shooting isn't on the agenda for her.....make a nice little vacation to exotic Grand Forks

Wife is going to have to work that weekend, so it looks like it will just be me. Anyone know a decent place to stay in the GF area? I'm planning on driving over Friday afternoon/evening, since a 5 hour drive would be no fun in the morning

Well I thought I could make, then I couldn't make it....

But I'm pleased to say that I WILL be in attendance on the 24th!

Looking forward to the shoot.

Just an FYI: If you plan to go, please drop Mike Cobert a line so he can get an accurate head count. Need to start pushing the preregister thing as its gets to be a goatrope with squadding..

Rod

Sent an Email to pre register....now all I have to do is convince myself to drive the miles......LOL

Got my ammo loaded, got my map(s) printed off. All I need to do is get my range bag squared away and pack some food for the drive, times growing short

A big thanks to Mike and Rod, and everyone else for putting on a great shoot. The wind sure showed me everything I don't know about shooting.

The IceBreaker 2014 was a success.... We had a record showing (since I've been shooting there) of 27 shooters, it was a great gathering of F-class and Conventional shooters. We had shooters from SD & MN.. And we had young and old shooters. It was a great match.

The winds were averaging 16 & gusting to 30, temps hit 90 with sunny skies till last relay. The temps wreaked havoc with some shooters loads. I saw pierced primers, blown primer pockets and one receiver locked up tight...

The guys from MN took top honors in Fclass: Congrats to Eric J (FO) and Mike L (FTR). Thankfully a ND guy took home Top Conventional honors.. Congrats to Tom Thompson....

Like emn83 said, the ND breeze humbled more than a few, especially the first relay (it was humorous and many line to pit radio calls).

It was awesome to see that at least a qtr of the shooters are members here on Accurate Shooter and it was good to see them on the line... I did not shoot, helped run the line and still had a blast, but am pretty sunburnt.

I had a good time until I pulled the 22BR out on the last relay.....

She doesn't like heat or wind that much! But it still shot fairly well.

I wish there was a few more opportunities to shoot a match at the range here during the course of the summer!

Great fun for me. Mike, Gordy, Rod, Tom and the rest of the GF crew put on a great match. Can't wait for the next GF match in June (edit - practice match, I guess). Hopefully not as windy, but a good learning experience for me. Maybe see everyone in Bismarck on the 7th and 8th. Drew
