600 yd BENCHREST bigger than 6 smaller than a 300wsm

so i have no idea if it has been asked, is there a proven br round for 600 that is bigger than the 6's but smaller than a 300 wsm ??
am i just dreaming...solving a problem that does not happen in real life.
if anyone says creedmore, you are off my christmas card list!

I can’t post a link but the 2007 NBRSA 600 nationals was won with a 6.5x47, R-15 and 130 JLK’s
It’s on the old 6mm BR website, Guns Of The Week #79.

David kieffer dominated the 2018 world open with a 6.5x47....

Dave Way won the 2021 World Open HG with a 6.5x47
I know these are 1000 yard matches - you only asked for 600.

Greg Wilson shot a 6.5x47 LG at the recent NBRSA Nats

not to be rude, have you seen it win ??
I seem to remember it was used by the 2021 IBS 600 SOY winner, if not last year the year before.
I shot it some about three years ago and had some good (for me) results. The 6's (BR, BRA, Dasher, etc) just rule IBS 600 these days. You rarely see anything else.
The one thing you'll find is, if you're prone to use them now, the 6.5 custom bullet market is nil and no one is making them. I still have about 500 BIB 135 grain bullets but, at last check, are no longer available.

i have vapor trails on order, i have 140 and 135s onhand..thanks
Not sure what powders you have available. I shot RL16 with 123 SMK (newer pointed version). It shot very well and I placed in a couple matches but it is bulky. I had a compressed load and still didn't get to where I wanted to be as far as velocity or ability to move up if needed.
H4350 and Varget are good choices but, if you have it, I really think the new RL15.5 could be a great choice.

Shoot4fun is dead on with his comments! Seth Wooten (2021 IBS 600 SOY) shoots a 6.5x47 occasionally and does very well in group and score against some great shooters. I personally have never got one to group like something on the BR case at 600. I have won score with one though. We shoot for group and score, and unless you can do great at both, you are middle of the pack. I have been tempted to pull my barrel out and try one last time and tweek it though. Samuel Hall

Back 15 years ago, seems like I remember the 6mm Rem AI and 243 AI winning a few matches before the 6 BR family took over. Not dominant, but were being shot even at the 1,000 yard matches
