Here are the results from this mornings match. The weather was beautiful, light winds and negligible mirage. Doug Wasson used a custom 6 Dasher to shoot a club match record of 198-4X. Phil Lee, pictured on the right won Factory class shooting a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6 Creedmoor.

Is this a 'for score only' match? No group/group agg? I ask this from the viewpoint of being completley ignorant of benchrest match programs/rules and the IBS site seems to be down this am. This might be a fun road trip for me (F-class shooter).

Thanks in advance

Score only....don't know where you're from, but you'd be most welcome. Cost is $20 per shooter, and some folks will shoot two rifles, a factory and a custom.

As you can see we have shooters from MS and AR as well as here in Louisiana. Buddy Hoar is 91 years old and drives himself down the night before. Both James Mock and James Gregory are active members of this forum.

FWIW, the two winners yesterday were a couple of carpetbaggers from Greenville Mississippi.

As a tip of the hat to Mike E. ..... these matches would give me a chance to do some 'real time' testing of my tuner;). Tough to do in F-class as I have to rely on D.O.P.E.. However, I have been able to do it with good effect at this point.

How would we get info on when you are having another shoot, thanks John in Arkansas

John: Normally the matches are scheduled and held: the 600 yard on the third Saturday of the month, and the 300 on the first Saturday of the month. The cost is $20 per entry, and we usually begin by 8:30. Benches are currently on a "first come, first served" basis, and a late arrival can usually shoot in the second relay.

We send out a regular email roughly a week before each event, and I'd be happy to add your email address to our list.

If you're on Facebook, we have a page at: Howard Prince Range Bench Rest Shooters...and you can be added to that list, which also received timely announcements of events at the range.

The 3rd Saturday of this month, for example, there was a regional rimfire benchrest match, and on the first Saturday of November the range is hosting the PRS Club Series Southeastern Regional Precision Rifle match. For that reason our November 300 yard match will be held on the 10th.
