A pal & I hit one of the ranches I have for p-dogs/coyote.
Set up calling coyotes at 530am in the fog, its burning off in seconds and I start to play at the 16 min mark one comes in at 293 yards and I tell my pal "on the gully hill". It stops broadside looking at the FoxPro decoy flapping and I see its not going to commit as I can hear it looks saying...something aint a right so I let the 6x6.8 fly and I hear a light twap and its gone.
My pal says I hit it high in the back and it rolled over into the deep gully. I held I mildot high on its back & should of held it center....waaaa
We hike down after 10 more min and all I see is some fur and blood...no coyote dang it.
We pack up and head to the p-dog town and I ended up with 301 rounds shot in my Savage .223, ERshaw 1/12" tw bbl, 24" build.
I was shooting from 40 yards to just a tad under 550 yards.
My pal ran 30 rounds in his Ruger .243 AI, 26" Benchmark bbl and 387 rounds in his Ruger .220 swift, Benchmark Nitrated 26" bbl
Ol pal was hammering them to 700 yards, the swift of his just never misses at longer ranges it seems.
It was flying p-dogs from 8am to 4pm when we headed home.
The area was covered with the remains & 7 Hawks were at the free feast on & off all day.
Long day, breezy to no winds, sunny & cloudy, had a t-storm come in and move around us, sun was hard at 3pm and they were just bubbling out of their mounds more so than they already were.
P-dog pups have exploded, not a single mound w/less than 6-10 dogs on them, until we took them out.
In just one 100 yard area at 247 yards I ran 53 rounds in just the 1st hour of shooting, it was to much fun.
My table was ground level and I like how it came out in a fast frame build of about 30 min since I had the top from another table build. The one my pal is sitting on is 1 of 2 I made, but gave my son mine after I stopped using it for sitting lower.
I can say the multiples were too many to count, more triples and quads than I ever had before, and a handful or more w/6 in the air. They have just cranked the puppies out this year there.

The long mound in the gully, he popped up at the left side of it.
