600/1000yd LG on a Low Profile Deep Creek Tracker

I've been noticing a big difference in effects between Saran, Glad, and Kirkland brand cling wraps.
Kirkland seems to react differently to the solvent than the others giving a more spiked/linear pattern effect.
Its not actually Saran brand. Its some no name stuff, I dont remember the name on it. I call all of it saran wrap.

Alex, I think this is a really sharp looking set up that shoots well right out of the shop and I really look forward to seeing it in person at DC this year ( providing you don’t sell it first ) . Please post a few more photos as your continue to tune up.

Jim, I marked up the target a little to make more sense. This is the high node, I have the low node loaded to test just waiting for decent weather. It was wind when I shot these so the width doesnt bother me as much as it normally would. If it looks this way in calm conditions I will have to fix it. All 3, 3 shot groups from 31-31.2 went into 2.3" of vertical at 1k and formed a 3.6" 9 shot group. Thats about as good as I have personally had one shoot across that width of powder. 30.9 dropped out the bottom and Id bet 31.3 would have went out the top.

Heres another ES lesson, one of hundreds like it. For the top target the ES for 31-31.2 was 20 ft for the bottom target the ES for all 4 powder charges was 36, for the 3 charges that went into 2.098" of vertical the es was 23.

I also shot this the same morning, everything the same just a different lot of vapors. There was more windage in this group but actually better vertical for the overlap as well as better overall vertical. The overlap went into 2.1" of vertical. With all 12 going into 3.6" of vertical. Pretty obvious wind was letting up as each group moved left. I had a left to right wind. Actually a tough call between them. I will need to shoot both a Deep Creek.

As a side note, I had a customer texting me about primer pocket prep earlier last week. These are straight out of the box, not even cleaned. No component was sorted, weighed or measured except powder obviously. Primers seated by feel. Fwiw.

How are you liking the stock so far. Obviously shoots well so far from what I've seen between Glenn's and now this one.

@Alex Wheeler
Thanks for posting ‘ from my house that top target looks like a nice window to work with and the bottom one.. maybe 31.2 settles down and stays inside and if not .. then not but it’s still early on the barrel.

What bushing are you on now ?

It feels like a DCT or LRB when running it. It tracks as good if not better. Normally I dont get 3 powder charges of overlap, normally I get 2. This stock is a bit more flexible than a DCT. Its similar to a foam LRB which has been one of the better versions and is the most flexible of all the versions. Both the foam LRB and this thing seem to have wider powder windows at 1k than stiffer stocks. Thats one thing we have noticed with the foam LRB.

I'll be back up there Saturday, you better have some more holes to look at!

I tried another lot of powder in this Bartlien this morning. Typical wind and mirage for Dillon. Im done at this point. I will want to see 31.3 as well as test different seating depths but its shooting as small as I can expect for this range. I will do the fine tuning at Deep Creek. I hope seating will pull a little of the vertical out. 31.1 and 31.2 formed a 6 shot group of 2.8". Still .005" in with a Vapor trail and cci BR4. I have only tested powder so far. thumbnail (37).png
