6 ppc to 6 br

I have a 6 ppc benchrest gun built on a blueprinted Rem 40X action.The bolt has A Sako extactor.
I would like to put a 30BR barrel on it Could some one tell me it this is possible?

The way you've written this it sounds like you have already opened it up from perhaps a .223 bolt face to a 6PPC? Is that correct? If so I'm not sure if you can open it further to a .308 bolt face. A gunsmith would have to answer that.
You could always buy another bolt from someone like Dave Kiff at pacific Precision or Brownells.

As you already have a Sako extractor fitted there should be no problem at all getting the boltface opened up to fit the BR you may have to have the extractor ground to fit the case aswell.

The Sako extractor set to depth for the PPC with the bolt face opened up for the .308 bolt face is commonly done. It will allow the bolt to be used with either cartridge with the appropriate barrel, of course. The only problem you might run into, is with a PPC if you are using an ejector. It will eject a BR or .308 better than a PPC unless you do some shaping on the ejector to keep the case in contact with the extractor during ejection.
