Well, as I recall, the 220 came before the 6 Beggs. I was thinking that Benchmark might be the powder you're thinking about, but I may be wrong.prior to the beggs cartridge he shot H4198. I believe the Beggs line was created around using H4198
It did turn out that the 6 Beggs does very well with h4198 but the 220..not so much..too fast. Now, I think most people shooting the 6 have migrated toward lt30 and most 220 shooters, Benchmark or LT 32.
I know that 26.0gr of lt32 is a very good load in a few 220 Beggs barrels I've had. I have yet to try a 6 Beggs.
The logic behind my prior post would lead me to think that if slower powders have proven better in the 6 Beggs, it would be even more true in most ppc's.
