I have a long action oneIt should work fine. It is worth noting though that unless you really like the stock it is paired with, you can probably sell the action and buy a short action that is better suited for the short BR length case.

How do I block it?I have a long action one
All you have to do is block the bolt travel to where it is as short as a short action
It is a .473 ,how do I bush it?It might look a little funny and swallow it right up but it work fine. Be sure and bush the bolt to .060” if it’s not already.
Take the bolt release off the trigger and install a external release where it stops the bolt where it need to be for short bolt travelHow do I block it?
Send it to Carlsbad or Greg Tannel. Greg has a really long back log so I'd talk to Carlsbad first and he's a regular good guy around the forum. It is a .473 ,how do I bush it?
Did Mark put that together?I've got a 700LA that has been a 6XC, a 6BR, and is now a 6BRA F-class type gun with a benchrest stock. Since it is only used single shot, I had the ejector removed and the hole plugged by Jerry Stephenson ("Carlsbad" on here) when he turned down the firing pin and bushed the bolt. I like the LA as there is plenty of room in the loading/ejection port to get my fat fingers in there and load and remove cases. I left the bolt travel full length. Hasn't been a problem for single shot.
When Carlsbad did mine and I got it back in 8 days from when I mailed it off. His turnaround is about 2 days on average. Nice work too.S

I'm thinking I can't live without a Dasher, What barrel length and twist for shooting gongs?Long action is fine and actually what id prefer. Whats the detriment from pulling the bolt 1/2” farther when you have lots of loading port room?
7.5” will shoot everything including the 110SMK. .140”-.150” on the FB for everything in the 105-110 range.I'm thinking I can't live without a Dasher, What barrel length and twist for shooting gongs?
What bullet and barrel length for out to a thousand is most popular? I want to use Bart's bullets if at all possible7.5” will shoot everything including the 110SMK. .140”-.150” on the FB for everything in the 105-110 range.
My Dasher is 28", 7 twist, .110 freebore. Never have shot anything longer than 107s, but it shoots those just fine. The shape of the bullet you use has a lot to do with how much freebore you'll need.I'm thinking I can't live without a Dasher, What barrel length and twist for shooting gongs?
If you are just plinking steel I would not be shooting Bart's bullets...Save those for BR. I would stick with a Berger or Sierra 105 class bullet, any of which will likely shoot great. Pretty tough to beat either a 105 HVLD or Hybrid IMO. A 28" Krieger 8T HV will also treat you well. What bullet and barrel length for out to a thousand is most popular? I do have a bunch of 105 Berger's and 107 Sierra's. I would like to shoot some paper as well with the Bart's. Maybe I can't do both with the same twist?
