6 mm/6.5 x47 lapua

what loads are you using for 1000 yd shooting and what are the velocities are you getting?
was thinking of using the 115 grain bullets.
how does this case compare to other case in 6mm caliber?

Interesting, I find many of these unanswered threads that have some age onem. Only reason I clicked on it was I wondered same thing.
But I did know this one quite decorated fclass shooter say he shot the 109s with much higher consistency in the lower node of 2750.

I have been shooting the 6 X 47L for 10 years in long range comps, my take is that this round is easy to build and easy to find loads. My experience with it shows that passing 3200' per sec. takes away accuracy. Case capacity will allow just about any slow powder to reach 3200' but I have the best groups at 2950'

I have one that I used a a backup gun for 1K comps. Rem 700 in a BR stock. Stupid simple loads workup for me...i probably could have been a little more nitpicky...but....39 H4350, Berger 108 BT (or 105 Hybrid), Lapua brass and 450 primers. i think I was up in that 3070 FPS range. ZERO PSI issues showing up.


Now it is my favorite "play gun" in either a chassis or the original Rem VS stock from the mid 90's as I now have 2 dedicated 1K LG's.. 2300 rounds on the tube with a new one just broken in on stand by.

I think you must be shooting a 6.5x 47L, not a 6-6.5x 47L

i shoot Lapua 90's in my 10 twist at 3300 FPS. Have made hits out to 1330 Yards

For 6x47 Ive been shooting Barnes 112gr match burners over IMR 4064 and am around 2950 FPS. Accuracy seems to be great for PRS (sub 1/2 MOA).
For 6.5x47 I shoot 130gr Norma Golden Targets over Varget at about 2850 FPS.

Maybe. like I said. It's not mine. But zo think he shoots yhe 6x47 and shoot s 109s religiously. Powder and other details Idk.
