6 mm/308/22 BR Brass questions

I am getting to the end of cleaning out a gun room and came across two boxes of Rem 6mm BR. The odd thing about these is the flash holes are not drilled out and on the box it states "This 6mm BR Rem cartridge will not fit in 6mm chambers". I have attached a pic. Not sure what this means and why the flash hole s aren't drilled out?

Also have a box of Rem BR and the box states these are SM rifle primer 308 case. Is this just a 308 BR with a small rifle primer? Attached a pic.

Also have a box (not the original box) of brass that has a head stamp 22 BR Rem however the caliber at the bullet seat looks much larger than. Is a 22 BR larger caliber than a standard 22.

Thanks

Pete

Once upon a time back in the dark ages, shooters wanted to DIY experiment with flash hole size…..some things never change. I imagine it refers to the “BR” chambers that existed prior to Remington standardizing the BR case dimensions in 1978. The BR footprint case style is almost 60 years old now.
Yes, that is the Rem SRP 308 Win, UBBR was designation for the basic brass to form 22, 6 and 7BR.

That's interesting thanks a lot. Do you think anyone could use these? In these times I hate to throw them out.

Thanks again for the response

Would be decent donor cases for keychains, snap caps or a series of dummy rounds based on the BR cases for the cartridge collector. No problem, glad I could help.

Ya, Me too. You can dispose of them at my expense. Send them u way I will pay shipping.
