6 DASHER VARMINT BUILD

Guys,I want to build a 6 Dasher for a varmint truck gun.It will be built on a Stiller Predator action and Rem varmint barrel.Would like to shoot Sierra 70 BK,75 Hornady Vmax,or70 Nos BT.
I was thinking either a 9 twist or 10 twist in case I want to shoot something a little heavier.
I am looking for your advice on twist rate and fb suggestions.
Any help would appreciated.
Thank you
Jim

I have built quite a few on 8 twists for 55 grain bullets. Accuracy is great and when those bullet hit a gopher they come unglued. You could do a 10 twist, so long as your sure you will never want to shoot the heavies.Id go with a .060fb. Also look at the 6BRA, easier ffing, same velocities, and you get the BR length neck so you dont have to get so critical on fb length. I just finished one with HS precision dbm, had to make a spacer for the mag, but now it feeds flawlessly. I just like the hs mags. the centerfeed wyatt internal box is nice too.

Alex, thanks for the reply. The reason I was thinking 6 dasher for a varmint build is because I have about 400 rounds of 7 or 8 times fired dasher brass just sitting here.So I thought why not go ahead and use it up.Should last a long time for just shooting crows and such.
Interested though about the 8 twist barrel for light bullets.Never thought it would shoot the light ones as I do shoot the 105's in my 600 yd dasher and my6 br.Both of those are 8 twist..060 fb hey.Should make a good little deer rifle too.
Thanks again
Jim

One of my Dasher reamers was a no turn, .055" freebore, which worked great for 70 BT's through 95 VLD's. I fireformed thousands of Dasher brass with 55 BT's as well, while blasting PD's.

Still have a couple three 14 twists barrels for prairie dog guns, but sold the two 8 twists that were strictly coyote rifles. Those two were regular 700 BDL's & still fed as slick as shit through a goose.

I'd get an 8 twist to cover all bases. You'll give up little in accuracy if you found the occasional need to shoot lighter bullets.
