6 Dasher to 6 BR AI???

How many threads do you have to knock off to be able to rechamber to the 6 BR AI from the 6 Dasher???

2-3 threads???

Remmys are .062" per full revolution, so 2 threads, .125" as previously stated.

18 pitch is 055", again 2 threads.

Unless you know the neck of the new chamber is the same or slightly larger I would set it back the length of the neck so you don't end up with a ring in the neck of your brass where the old chamber ended.

To chamber 6 BR AI Tim, can I use a PTG GO gauge an chamber .002 less than that to be in the middle of the road?

I am not current on all of these variations. What would be the worth in spending a couple hundred dollars for a rechambering job and new dies? Is there a worthwhile velocity increase?

thanks,

Rich

I'm not current either but I'm following the development of the AI version with interest. My very inexperienced observations are that there is not a velocity increase, but rather there seems to be more accuracy consistency at a similar (??) velocity.
