6 Dasher starting loads

I want to try both AR Comp and 8208XBR in my new Dasher with 105g Hybrids and 108g BIB BTs, any information on starting loads?

Thanks.

Check at the top of the page for dasher loads. You might have to reduce 10-15% for a starting place.

I have read the dasher loads above, I don't recall any mention of AR Comp or 8208XBR. Thanks.

Anyone??

check for the powders as a 6br load and adjust from there.

Add about 2 grains of powder to starting 6BR loads and work to pressure?

Reason I say that, 105g loads in 6BR with varget/RL15 are around 30g, 105g bullets in Dasher are in the 32/33g range. Does that sound safe?

Still a problem with AR Comp-no 6br data on Alliant's website.

-(I looked at data on the Alliant site and compared all recipes with the same bullets in different calibers where RL15 and AR Comp data is available and averaged our their data. The max dose of AR Comp compared to RL15 is 0.924. My max load in my rifle for RL15 is 32.6g, therefore, I will use 30.1g of AR Comp as my max load. The AR Comp gets 3.5% more velocity compared to RL15 on my extrapolation as well-I guess I will have to see)

With 8208 I'd start at 29.5. What bore size are you running? It makes a pretty big difference in my experience.

I am running a 236 also and just shot a couple of ladders one with 105 scenars and one with 108 Bergers. I blew a primer with my first load with the 108s at 30gr. So I would start even lower then 29.5 of course all rifles are different but I wouldn't chance it.

Were your ladders shot with 8208 or AR Comp?

I`d load up to 32 grains with the IMR8208 watching for pressure, and up to 31.5 with AR-Comp. Neither powder would be a first pick, but unless you have planned for the shortage, Varget and Brux barrels go together like peas and carrots...... ;)

Peas and carrots are good together right?

This article will help. Later! Frank
