Frank,,,why dont you put the print on here,,,there are many who would like to see it ,,,Roger
Roger, I thought of that but was off so I couldn't do it right away. The attachments are below.
Our finish drawing that we used is marked 6 Dasher BB. Note the dimensions that I measured on the bullet seating depth. I checked it in a .236" bore barrel. Going to a .237" bore it will change your o.a.l. by approx. .010". I know it does in .30cal. barrels where I've used the same chamber reamer in a .299" bore and .300" bore barrels.
Also below is a pic. of a 105 Hybrid in relation to the case and where it touches the rifling in a .236" bore barrel.

In talking to Robert Whitley from what he found out and also what we've been hearing is the reason why we changed the dimension on our reamer drawing was because that .4707" diameter which is .200" from the bolt face and we made it little bigger like a standard .308win. which is .4714". We've been hearing too many guys running into making this dimension tighter and cases start sticking in the chamber/hard bolt lift etc...I've seen the same problem with .338 Lapua. Guys start making this area tighter and guys have sticky bolt lift/extraction problems etc...tighter isn't always better!
We also found the 1.555" dimension is better than the shorter one that some guys use as well. When you fire form the brass it sets back/shrinks to 1.540" to 1.542" or so. Which we feel is fine. Some guys run a shorter length like 1.510" but then you see around .030" clearance. Which shouldn't effect anything accuracy wise but you just don't need that much clearance. Again I got help on this from Robert. So a big THANKS goes to Robert!
Our reamer is set up for the new Lapua brass not the older brass. Seems there are a minute differences there as well.
Don't take our reamer drawing as it becoming SAAMI spec. I've heard no talk about this round becoming a SAAMI standard etc...but with testing being done now with ammo test barrels, Norma having brass in the works and supposedly Lapua looking at it also (rumor on Lapua so don't quote me) it looks promising that more components will be available. The ammunition pressure test barrel we made earlier this year for a ammunition maker. The feedback I've received from them was the barrel and cartridge have been performing excellent. The barrel is a 30" finish length and a 1-8 twist with the 5R rifling. They said even with the shorter/lighter weight bullets it has been performing excellent as well.
I've seen things like this happen before and the most recent one was the .300WSM. Guys went and started ordering chamber reamers etc....and then Winchester changed the spec's on the brass. All of a sudden guys had problems with what they had vs. what was actually being made. So be careful with what you do.
