6 Dasher rifle on the way - need to start creating fire form loads

Question, rifle is almost completed, but want to start loading some fire forming loads. Looking to just jam the Lapua brass and Hornady 105 BTHPs. Chamber is cut to Lapua brass no turn. Looking for a safe COAL that I can just start seating the bullets to and make adjustments later (seat properly). First experience with a Dasher. Any thoughts?

I always measured where I had full contact with the bullet. Then gave it a full .050" jam. Never had an issue.

Actually just barely seating the bullets might be all you need. Seated out into the lands probably means you will push the bullet into the neck just closing the bolt. Do know that I tried to open the bolt and remove a fire-form load. Trouble lifting and I stopped. Had I pulled back I might still be cleaning out the spilled powder. That bullet was stuck.

yea, I did 2.500" which i think was a hair past the boattail, enough to hold the bullet...
