6 Dasher - Precision Mic?

Leaddog

F-Class T/R
I am going to need a precision mic for my 6 Dasher build to measure shoulder bump. I have a RCBS for my .308 and that's fine, but would like something a little better quality for this gun. What do you use?

Also.... How many firings (including fire forming cases) on a Dasher case before bumping the shoulder back?

Thanks.

Just make a stub with the chamber reamer, or have the smith that chambered make it for you.I always use FL.die i bump it every time.0015 - .002 every time after fire forming......jim

Jim- That's exactly what I was looking for. I'll ask Mark King to make me up one. Thanks.

Charley, One other thing if he chambered your barrel and uses the same reamer, make it a little longer so you can have a bullet not stick out the end. This will have your throat and you can use it to keep track of throat advancement.....jim

Jim - That's what I was thinking, too. Thanks for the info.

Jim,
Thats interesting info. I don't shoot a 6 Dasher, but enjoy learning about other calibers. I do find it interesting that your require a shoulder bump (.0015 - .002) that is the same that I have to bump my 6mmbr Lapua casings, but my loads aren't exactly what I'd call hot at 31.0 - 31.2 grs of VVN133. Just sayin.

I don't get your point, i set up the same no matter what cal. this way. I see no reason not to, PPC, Dasher, BR 6.5x47 and 7mm08 all set the same. I think neck sizing you are just fooling yourself. Do it the same every time all the time .0015 - .002 isn't a lot.......... jim
