6 Dasher Peterson Brass Ladder

Decided to try a Dasher with Peterson brass. Below is a pic of the ladder fired at 550yds. Squares in the pic are one inch. Some others have posted that you need to lower the powder charge weight as compared to fireformed Lapua Dasher brass. I did not find this to be the case. Did not experience any pressure signs. Will do a seating depth test with 32.9 of Varget next.Peterson Dasher Brass Ladder.png

Thanks for sharing Rich. To echo your findings, I got 100 Peterson cases in 2024 for my hunting dasher and it shot great right out of the box.

I picked a random charge on the lower side to get one firing on the brass before load work up and it shot just over 2” at 600 yards off a Harris bipod with a 6.5-20 Leupold scope. A 10lb rifle on a Remington 700 action.

I’m tooling up to shoot Peterson brass in my BRA this year based on the positive experience.

I’m curious as to the reamers are you guys using ?
I’m also running 32.5 of Varget w/Alpha brass around 2950 but can’t quite reach the upper nodes without pressure.
Might have to switch to Peterson.

I'm using a PT&G Dasher Reamer with .266 neck and .135 freebore. Bought it 12-13 years ago. This reamer worked great when I was using fireformed lapua 6BR brass.
