6 Dasher MV Drop, suggestions?

Specs:
Berger 105 Hybrids .012” jump
CCI 450 primers
32.7gr Varget.
MV: 2973 avg, consistently w/ SD/ES of 6/20

At about 1600rds, my MV dropped to 2958 avg.
Today I shot 25 rounds @ 100yds, prone off a Harris bipod. They grouped 3/8” w/ SD/ES of 5/17.

My questions:
If my old node was @ 2973, is it just a coincidence that I’m getting similar precision & velocity spread @ 16 fps slower?
Should I bump up my powder charge to get back to 2973 MV?
Is it normal to lose MV w/a Dasher at 1600 rounds?

Yeah, your barrel is getting up there in round count, thus loosing velocity.

I know a guy that is relegating his Dasher barrels for practice at just north of 2000 rounds, which is when he starts to get a few flyers at distance.

Get your next barrel ordered now. The guy I mentioned orders two at a time and gets them both chambered when they arrive so he's always got a back up ready to go.

Add a few tenths for now.

Single lots of everything. Im planning on bumping up charge to original MV and seeing how that works. Tx

I meant is it a different lot from before. Powder or bullet lot changes can easily do what your seeing. Matt

Ive used the same lots of all components since I started using this barrel.

I have had a similar thing happen. Bumped the charge .2 and got the velocity back. I also needed to chase the lands a lot. Kept cleaning, kept adding powder, kept chasing. Eventually I gave up after it was 2920-2930 fps. I ended up getting just shy of 2700 rounds out of that barrel...

If it is still shooting to your standards why change anything . Going from summer to fall could easily be the cause. 16 fps is still less than your ES is so why worry about anything. Keep shooting and be happy. Just my .02 cents.
