6 Dasher brass Petersons Vs Alpha OCD

If you have tried both Petersons and ALpha OCD brass what is your opinion after testing?
I have been shooting Petersons brass with a reduced load from Lapua brass running right at 2980 and still seeing swipe marks but the primers show no signs of pressure.

Thanks

I have only run 6 Dasher Alpha brass. So I have no idea about Petersons brass. I use Remington 7 1/2 primers cause they seat normally in the tight primer pockets of the Alpha brass...I run the piss out of it right out of the new box, no swipe marks of any kind on the brass. I chambered the barrel to the brass and the go gauge. No neck turn reamer 28" Bartlein 5r M24 profile ...and bought more Alpha brass cause it handled everything I put in it and pushed it .. What bullet weight 2980 fps? Barrel length?
Speed or accuracy? Varmints 58 vmax 4050 fps, + 55 Nosler 4005 fps 70 gr 3705 ...but that's not where my interests are. Excellent accuracy will be at 2975 to 3030 ish with 105 to 108 gr Berger, RL 15 or slightly slower Varget.. I went and checked some targets RL 15 beat Varget in velocity and accuracy, across a wider range of bullets too. RL 15 made 107 SMK group look close to the 108 Berger, that the barrel loves, not so with Varget, on my sample groups. And no jamming bullets for me to get good groups...just not a fan, been there a long time ago. Want to smoke em down range 107 SMK 3132 fps, or 110 SMK 3085 fps, 115 DTAC 3020 fps gotta change powders, but lose a little accuracy, but not much. Long range steel 110 SMK at 3085 has more accuracy than ya need for the task in friendly non competition steel shooting but the tiny 110gr doesn't have much "ring" to it past 800 yards...when you're used to hearing 30 cal 200 plus gr or a few 50 cal 650 to 750 gr bullets, they got smack on impact.

Since you have both brands of dasher cases fire formed in your chamber plus fireformed Laupa. Find the weight and water capacity of all 3 cases and post the results. Several samples of each will show if there is a large variation in capacities, of each brand... resulting in pressure signs of the smaller capacity cases? Or case head hardness between brands? Hard jaming of bullets into the lands could cause case head swipes too depending on neck tension, with the bullet. All my new Alpha brass is run through a Wilson mandrel die so the bullets seat with the correct tension. For me they are too tight right out of the box.

My Peterson results mirror's yours. Plus, throw in heavy bolt lift. I did not enjoy the Peterson experience.

Alpha OCD however, is good stuff. Absolutely no problems with it pressure and velocity wise. Lapua load and Alpha load is almost identical.

I had a really bad experience with Peterson in a different cartridge but the worst part was the poor customer service that wouldn’t back their product. They only replaced half of the proven faulty brass and then basically told me to take a hike for the rest. I’ll never buy another piece of Peterson brass

I know this is an old thread but every Peterson cartridge I have used does the same thing! I spoke to them several times about it. It was nothing but excuses from them. They blamed everything else but their brass. The funny thing it was their own loaded ammo, so it wasn’t loaded hot like they originally claimed. Sure wish alpha would keep stuff in stock a little better or that Lapua would make more of the cases a lot of people are running. It’s
