6 Dasher 6 BRDX load data interchangeable ???

I liked the longer neck of the BRDX and went with that improved case and plan on screwing the barrel on this week,,I plan to use the 107 SMK hard jammed and RL15 as FF load,,

after I get my brass settled and start fine tuning a load with the 105 VLD are there really much difference in load data between the Dasher and BRDX using the same bullets and freebore??

I liked the BRDX so I can have long enough FB for the 105-107 and if I wanted to shoot the 80-88s I would have enough neck length to reach the rifilings,,
starting to get excited about trying the BRDX but with my 6.5x47 really shooting lights out I kinda hate to take it off,

may have to save up for another action,,

I agree wholeheartedly with your last statement>>>saving up for a new action. I have 2 Dashers and both are on Pierce Short Action actions. They are PERFECT for the Dasher sized cases>>>>>and they are "relatively" inexpensive compared to some of the others. They are smooth as silk, and so far 'nary a problem with either.

I wouldn`t interchange load data between the two, the dasher has a bigger case capacity and using Dasher data in a BRDX would be dangerous, in my opinion.

Phil.

Get another action, If it shoots like a Dasher then you will be glade you did!!!

And why mess up a good shooting Rig??

I don't understand your comment, how's switching barrels out going to mess up a action or a complete rifle? I myself do this all the time and even so at matches and still manage to shoot very well.

I'm not advocating interchanging between the two. Just curious about your experience with the difference in volume. The published difference is 0.5 gr of H2O.

I know charge weights will vary some but the same powders should perform about the same in each wouldnt they??

I will like to have another action at some point also but that will require another stock and scope also,,so for now to change calibers the cheapest thing for me to do is just have my smith chamber me another barrel and switch them out,,

I would like to be able to shoot them both all the time but I dont see how switching barrels will hurt accuracy of either,,

OK I have RL15,Varget,VVN 150,H4895 and IMR 4166,,gonna try 105 Hybirds first after I get my brass formed,,

I have some 105 Hunting VLDs but not regular VLDs,,anybody run the orange box bullets for paper shooting?

I have used the Hunting VLD's in both the 6mm and the 6.5 and found no difference whatsoever. Personally, I would start with the VLD's placed 12K into the lands for starters rather than the Hybrids. I think they are noticeably more accurate.

I can try the VLDs first just havent got any yellow box VLDs but do have the orange box,,the orange box have a higher listed BC but I am really just going to shoot for accuracy at 300 and 600 for starters and dont really care about speed and BC at all,

I've only ever used the hunting vlds, your good to go unless it's a 6-284 or something.

Tom

it is a .236 Krieger 4 groove 8 twist 28 inch in the 6 BRDX

To start charge weights I would use 6mmBR loads and work up not starting with 6 Dasher loads. Are you going to break the barrel in by shooting 1 shot and clean?
