6 BRX Wilson seating die

As Wilson does not offer a seating die for the BRX, I'm thinking a Dasher (which is offered) would work just as well. What say you?

No need to have your smith ream out a 6br...just use it. I've been using one for right over a year with zero problems. I was going to have the smith do it but a buddy of mine told me I was just wasting my money...he was right.

I wouldn't recommend using a 6br sizing die because you will get bolt click but for a Wilson seater that's fine.

Measurement indicate a BRX case rim .073 beyond the base of my Wilson BR seater and zero with the Wilson Dasher seater. Wouldn't having the case extend beyond the base of the die present a problem? I'm thinking the Dasher die is the way to go but maybe I'm missing something.

Presents no problem at all. Your measurements are correct.

The dasher die will not support the shoulders. I'd rather have shoulder support over base of the case. The OAL measurement is case had to ojive so there is always pressure on the base anyway.

i'm building my 6BRX atm and i will be using my redding comp 6BR dies to bump the shoulder (just adjust it up .098 thou so it bumps the shoulder), then i will use my 243 die to size the base of the case when needed then use my 6BR seating die , bit more work changing dies but i dont care and saves myself a few hundred $

That's how I do it too.

You do know wilsons sell seater blanks that can be reamed with your chamber reamer. Get one done and do it right the first time. Add a micrometer top and your sorted.
