6 BRX w/ Reloader 17?

anyone loading reloader 17 into 6 BRX ? qwiklode is saying it should do well.

Funny you should mention that powder; I just ran the numbers on QL yesterday and thought I would give it a try.....will let you know what I find out when completed. The problem I found with RL 17 in the past with other calibers is that it is finiky in the heat. It is hot as heck here in FL so it should be a valid test.

It has been tried before.. I think you will find Varget still the berst choice..

I tried it but had better luck with R15 and Varget. Speed is there with 17 if that's important.

Not at the expense of accuracy.......

I tried RL-17 in my old 243 WIN long range BR gun and accuracy suffered pretty bad. Tried it in my 7X57 hunting rifle and accuracy went out the window. Seems it only works, for me, in my Swiss K-31. RL-17 is the powder used in the Swiss Army issue ammo.
RL-17 does increase velocity, but accuracy has been illusive. Also, I find the Quickload loads don't match up as well as other powders do.
So, I never tried it in my 6BRX, went right to Varget.
