6 BRX in a Howa Mini?

The first issue is the bolt face. You need to find one in 450 Bushmaster - which have been discontinued. I have no idea whether the 450 magazine will feed a BRX. Otherwise - a good plan! There's always 6ARC...

Like to have a handy sporter chambered with my favorite round. Is it feasible? Will I have feeding problems?
My shooting buddy has a Howa mini with 26" barrel chambered in 6BRX in an Oryx chassis that he is considering selling. Do you want me to put you in contact with him? He's not on this site.

I've been a fan of the Howa Mini action since they first announced the availability of the ones in 6.5 Grendel - not because I'm a fan of the 6.5 Grendel, but rather because I've been shooting AR15s chambered for the 6 RAT wildcat from the time it was first available. I'd long wanted to do a bolt rifle in the RAT, and when CZ brought their now-discontinued 527 to market in the carbine version in 7.62x39, I bought one and re-barreled it for the RAT. The little CZ was a fine rifle, but I did have some issues getting the RAT to feed out of the 527's magazine with 100% reliability. And there was the issue of not being able to easily single load longer rounds loaded with 105gr bullets because of the Mauser controlled round feed design.

So as soon as I was able to order a Mini in 6.5 Grendel, I did so, and that push-feed action has allowed easy single loading of rounds too long to fit in the plastic Mini mags. I have one Mini in a McMillan Game Scout stock with a Bartlein light Palma bbl chambered for the 6 RAT, and another that's just about finished with a Krieger in 22 Grinch, which is just the 6 Grinch necked down. These are neat little rifles, and I'm happy with them. So when I see or hear of someone wanting to push the limits of the Mini action by chambering for a round with the larger .473" boltface, it makes me wonder why? If a shooter is wanting to build a lightweight & compact rifle for a 6BR/BRA/Dasher, why not go with an action designed from the start to work with the .473" boltface, like a Rem M7?

The new ultralight Howa rifle in 308 and 6.5 creedmoor , is an Howa mini extended length wise to accomodate the longer rounds. Other cross section dimensions are identical to the Howa mini. So it might look scary, but it should handle the pressure of a 6br without too much issues.

Forgot to add (answering part of your original question) that using the Grendel 5-round magazines, there is no issue feeding the 6BRX into the Howa mini.
