6 BRA with 110 SMKs

Guys,

Is anyone running the 110gr Sierra Matchking in their 6BRA, I have a 7 twist barrel ready for chambering.

What powders/primers etc are you using and what speeds are you seeing for barrel length?

I'm at 30.6 grains of Varget, CCI400 and a 0.030" jump for a very consistent 2850-2860 fps out of a 26" barrel. I went as high as 31.4 grains for an additional 60-ish fps but this load is so consistent, I stayed with it. This is out of a 7.5-twist Krieger.

I didn't. It shot so well I just stuck with it. This was chambered by Alex Wheeler. He's building another one with a 27" barrel. I should have some load data on that one before too long.

I just finished working up a 6BRA load for the 110's in a 26" 7.5 twist. I started with a quick seating depth test at 0.010 off, 0.030 off, and 0.050 off. The clear winner was 0.010 off the lands so all subsequent testing was with that. Did powder charge testing with both Varget and H4895, both with CCI450 primers. H4895 shot tighter groups for me. I worked all the way up to 2930fps but the most consistent/accurate load was right at 2850 fps so that's what I'm going to run. Charge weight for me is 30.8gr but I think my lot of H4895 is slower than most (it's an older 8lb jug) so I would go more off velocity than my charge weight.
