6 BRA Barrel For Remington

I have a Rem 40x action that has been trued and cut ten thousands over. Will it be safe to use a pre-fit 6BRA barrel with this action? Thanks

Being you already oversized the thread tenon on the action, personally I will fill more secure by doing a shouldered barrel as opposed to pre-fit.

In my personal opinion "no ". You need a custom fitted thread to match your action.

The questions is about pitch diameter. Which you don't know on either the barrel or the action.
1.0625-16 TPI 2A max 1.0203 min 1.0148
1.0725-16 TPI 2A max 1.0303 min 1.0248
A max 1.0625-16 in a min 1.0725-16 would work. After that it could get dicey.

Thanks for the opinions. I use the 40x for a couple of switch barrels shouldered by smith that trued the action. I have a stock rem action I have been using for the bra I wanted to be able to use the bench stock with the bra. I will continue with the stock action and find another stock. Thanks for the input.

I have facory Savage barrels that are supposed to be 1.0625 that measure out at 1.048.

Do you have a recoil lug that has been cut oversized?

That has nothing to do with pitch diameter which is how the fit is measured. . All the OD's of threads should measure smaller than the specified size.

Does the Revolution stock have an aluminum bedding block? Will it take a jewel trigger with safety without trimming? This is a single shot stock I suspect? I bought the barrel and nut from you. Are the stocks laminate? When will they be available?

Check with northland shooters supply. There is an option for a receiver that has been trued and opened up a little.
