6 BR Norma, 95 Sierra MK load data

New member here! I am building a 6mm BR Norma Remage conversation on a Rem 700 6.5CM I have. I have a box of 95 gr. Sierra MK’s and a box of Berger 105 gr. BT bullets. Will be using new Lapua brass. I’d like to use the Sierra’s to get some rounds through the barrel before playing with the Bergers. Problem I’m having is finding load data for these. Sierra doesn’t seem to have any. Any thoughts on some legit sources for load data to work up? I have Varget, Ramshot TAC and H-4350 powders. I will be finding out what my max CBTO is and without any length data, will begin .020” off the lands. I’m not new to reloading. I currently load for all my pistol calibers in addition to .223 Rem, 6.5 Creedmoor, 30-30 and 45-70. Thanks!

LAPUA BRASS 31.5 gr. Varget 95 gr. Sierra TMK BR-4 @ .010 OTL worked well in my rifle. CAUTION : Start low and work up.

For the 95 grain SMK, the Sierra 6th edition manual shows Varget with a max load at 30.1 gr.
Max load of TAC is listed at 29.3 gr. Both at 2800 fps

What is your barrel twist? Just curious.

Well by gosh, didn't even think of looking for a Sierra iPhone app! Downloaded it and we're good to go. Thanks for the heads up! I'm set with the Bergers as I do have a Berger manual. Super excited to begin putting the rifle together. Just waiting for some soft jaws for my vise to come in to begin attaching the barrel to the action, headspacing, etc. Will post pic's when it's finished. Then once it warms up (still winter here in WI), get some rounds downrange and will also report back. Thanks again!

Well, got all the parts in from Northland Shooter Supply in addition to some soft jaws for my vise for my 6 BR build. Had some time yesterday and decided to get to it. My local gunsmith already removed the original barrel from the action. I cleaned up the action, paying special attention to cleaning the action threads. Next was removing the ejector from my R700 bolt, then dry fitting everything to make sure there were no fitment issues. With the new barrel threads lubricated (lightly) with some Lubriplate 130-A and the barrel nut screwed on, I screwed the barrel into the action. Put the Go gauge in the bolt and screwed the barrel in until I felt resistance and then hand screwed the barrel nut up to the action. Then tried the No Go gauge and the bolt wouldn’t drop. We’re in business! Put the action and recoil lug into the action vise and the barrel into the bench vise and torqued the nut down. Then tried the Go and No Go gauges a few more times to be safe and I was done! Ejector back into the bolt and then the barreled action into the stock. Now I have to get some of that nice new Lapua brass loaded up and get that brass a first firing. Looking forward to this being the easy button as others say!
