6 br build

On final chamber ream I know I want a 272 no turn neck but free bore? I have read a number of different articles and they all specify different free bores, on like builds. I plan to shoot 80 to 100 gr. bullets and use it for longrange hunting and target. Can I use standard specs or should I do something other.

I have a 6br that I have not shot yet, but it is set uo for the 105 berger hybrid with a .104 freebore. I believe this used to be the standard for this bullet. Hopefully someone will chime in on the lighter bullets.

Yeah I have gone a .272 no neck turn also and I have gone with a .105 freebore for my 105gr hybrids and 105gr hunting vlds for my target and hunting. . Haven't had a chance to see what lighter bullets will do

I am still a newb, but my 6br chambered using the "match" PTG reamer (#555174) with a freebore of .113" worked excellent with 105 Bergers, Varget and Lupua brass. One ragged hole at 100yds. I still need to test it at longer ranges. The Dave Kiff article on reamers might help answer your questions with lighter bullets. Worked for me. Maybe give PTG a call to get their input.
