I’ve never seen a 8 twist dasher that wouldn’t shoot lights out with the following:The Dasher to some is a bit trickier to tune, but once you do it will shoot.
So have gave up on it for that reason. Depends if you find that right
combination early on. Try changing one thing at a time.
You changed bullets, did you try a different powder?
I know components and barrel life are a concern.
RL-15 shoots so well that I have never tried any of the varget sitting on my shelves. I would like to try some 15.5 in it but no rush with the 15 shooting lights out.Hey - I'd personally try a few other powders. I'd start with RL-15 and some others besides Varget. While Varget and RL-15 usually are best in most rifles - sometimes it takes something else to find happiness. Good luck
.5 inch groups or .5 moa at 300?sub .500 groups
some days it will shoot .500 inch and some days.600 inch at 300 yds depending a lot on the weather--Gary.5 inch groups or .5 moa at 300?
So are you saying 1/2 inch groups at 300 yards. If so, that seems solid to me.some days it will shoot .500 inch and some days.600 inch at 300 yds depending a lot on the weather--Gary
looks like he is shooting .5 inch to .6 inch at 300 yards, depends on the day.So are you saying 1/2 inch groups at 300 yards. If so, that seems solid to me.
.500 moa is 1.5 inches at 300 yards. Not so good. I guess I am missing it.
It may very well be, but that is not my discipline. I shoot F class. I’ve shot 200-18X at 600 yards three times. Shot 600/600 a few times, and just recently shot a one day total of 592/600 at 1000 yards when lots of other 7mm’s were behind me on a switching windy day. I’ve never shot for group size at 1000 yards but several times I’ve fired 5 shot groups at 600 yards that are sub 2”@Dave M. is this accuracy you are referring to 600yd -1,000yd IBS worthy accuracy ?
