6 BR + AR Comp

Pleasantly pleased with today's results. 6mm BR, 70 gr Varmededdon, AR Comp, CCI 400. I had just changed out the stock from HS Precision to a Rem 700 VTR stock that I'd been given by my nephew. 1st shot was the first shot, following 4 went into one big hole. I'm just a coyote hunter who likes to hit what I shoot at. I've always heard how good HS stocks are, but the one I had just didnt fit me. I expected to sacrifice some accuracy for stock fit. Happy with the results. I know BR shooters will scoff at this, but I'm pleased to say the least. Y'all would die if you saw what my bench set up looked like.....lol.

I hope it works well with 105’s and 107’s. I found it to be a tick too fast for dasher and bra and I’ve got a pile of it. Getting a Bartlein modB spun up in straight br

Why is it too fast for 6bra? I've not found that at all.

I have shot a little over a pound in my dashers, the first lot I had was nearly the same as H4895 charge weight for velocity. The powder sweet spots were a little different but it shoots. The newer lot I have is a touch faster, I have not given it much effort yet.
My first lot, I shot several F-Class matches with using a dasher with 105 VLD’s, no issues whatsoever.

There was a test posted here in the past where a guy did a Dasher test head to head with H4895 and AR COMP. The velocity to charge was virtually identical over a 2 grain ladder of charges raised at .1 grain at a time.

If anything h4895 is all over the map from lot to lot.

Comparing AR-Comp with H4895

I did not realize just how close these two powders are, in regards to velocity (at least in my Dasher). They are nearly in lock-step with each other at 50*F, again at 4800’ in my Dasher. I shot two ladder tests today and the above velocities are from my Lab-Radar. I never observed any...

Why is it too fast for 6bra? I've not found that at all.

Pressure spiked at the speeds I was shooting h4350 in bra. Currently using 4350 in bra. The es and sd we’re great with ar comp and groups were small. Will definitely be trying it in my new BR barrel later this year

Man you must have a long drop tube

Tried it in mine, 29gr. pushing 105 Berger's = tiny groups.
Going to be trying it in the 30x47 soon.
Problem is it is just as hard to find as anything else and more expensive to boot.
