The Sierra 6.5mm, 155gr. MK has not been available for some time. It was recently announced that Sierra has just discontinued the 160gr. SMP bullet.

Sad, but true. You need to either turn down the rims or open up the bolt face. You will, however, be pleased with the result. I have a 6.5 Vais,6.5x55 improved). It's wonderful! I think it's the perfect case size for 6.5mm.

I measured the base of one of the cases and it measures .476 for the Lapua and .473 for the 06 case I had. I also tried the Lapua brass in my 308 bolt face and it sits down in the head of the bolt with no problems so I don't think I should have a problem with only a .003 difference in case heads. Just my thoughts anyway. Thanks guys!!!!!!!!
