6.5X55 semi-auto?

Ulfbert from Alexander can do it, but why give up 338 Lapua? Lol.

Remington 7400 , original 30-06 length , can be rebarreled .
Had one in 8 mm mauser a lifetime ago . The ammo was 1/2 the $ of surplus 30-06 , I had a pickup truck load of 8 mm . Corrosive , which is what eventually lead to rebarrel ing back to 30-06 .

I saw a 300 Win Mag "AR type" rifle. Nemo , Nemesis, something like that. It was in one of the gun magazines. Did a search.....Nemo Omen by Nemo Arms. They offer lots of bigger chamberings.

Well Ebb, I didn't know so I looked. I was thinking 3-4K. Holy hot rods! 6-7k? No wonder I haven't bumped into one.

Yep , m1 thumb has no comparison to hakim stitches . Btw I would not waste my time with an acurized hakim / lunjman the design does not lend itself well to accuracy.
If I wanted an accurate semi auto in 6.5x55 I would seriously be looking at a browning bar safari 2 either that or a national match modified garand in that caliber.
I've owned several different AG-42s & Hakims. The 8mm version is not a shoulder thumper. Its actually quite mild. Weight & gas operation tame this traditional shoulder thumper to a large degree, but what really makes it a pussycat is the very efficient muzzle break that came on these. Bottom line, Its an ear splitter & one heck of a thumb-buster, but defiantly not a shoulder thumper. M9

PS M1 thumb ain't $hit. If you get Hakim thumb you may not have a thumb. Its likely to amputate.

I'm pretty sure that Beretta offered a 30-06 20 round magazine conversion for M1 Garands. Finding one of the mags would be luck.
