Have you chronoed it?
Have you tried 37-38 grs. of Varget.

Varget looks good to me.

The only thing that bothers me is everyone else is using 2grns or better with Varget.

But if everyone thinks my Varget load will be a 1K shooter, than Varget it is!

I havn't cronoed it yet, I have tried up to 39 grns of Varget and runied some once fired Lapua brass!!!!!

Well if it was with 130s or 139s Dennis, I could believe it :-[

39 might well be tolerable with 120/123s

I was shooting 130's, I preped them and the primers were falling out!!!!!!

39.3 is my load with 120 SMK's, PERFECT!

Well, I wouldn't say perfect, but I have shot several 5 shot groups like this:

If I can't get my Berger's shooting like this, Looks like SMK's are going to be the bullet!

Howdy! I give "my 2 cents worth" on MY 6.5 X 47 Lapua. I have a tricked out 700 s/a with a RockCreek 1-8 twist. I have tried many, many powders with "light" bullets 120, 123, and 130gr. bullets. It is funny, because this cartridge is not supposed to be finicky. However, after trying 140gr Berger B/T's (not vld's) I have settled on a load that is 39.6 grains of H4350 using CCI 450 primers. This load has an extreme spread UNDER 20f.p.s. (approx 2720f.p.s.). I only shoot at 300 yards. At 300 yards it "normally" shoots just under 2".. However, I have shot WELL UNDER 1" at that distance. So I have a "shooter" but it has had me up a wall for awhile. If your gun shoots VERY well at 100yds, take it out to 300 or more>>That will tell you how it, as well as you shoot... I have been shooting a L-O-N-G time and find that MOST rifles prefer a "certain" bullet weight that it will shoot "screamers" with..And it does NOT necessarily coincide with what the "twist" will tell you it should!
