6.5x47L 140 Berger LRBT ??

mr.big, the FB is .167" on the JGS 6.5/47L reamer. I like the bullets bearing surface to stay in the sized portion of the neck, so you are probably going to love the LRBT.

When you say the seating depth are WAY different, you are correct! The 140 LRBT has a shorter bearing surface than the Berger 130VLD! Personally, I think the Berger 140 LRBT is one of, if not the BEST 140 class 6.5 bullet made.

My favourite in a 6.5X55 F rifle that failed to shoot any 130gn model well. The LRBT is an outstanding performer IMHO.

Did you try 140 Hybrids in the 5R Bart? Mine absolutely hammers with them, I think I'll cry when this barrel goes south

yes I tried the 140 Hybirds,,it actually did shoot the old 140 Match King in good groups but only at 2700 fps,,that was the only 140 it shot well,,and with the BC of that bullet at 2700 fps the 130 VLD would make it look silly,,

Mine shot good at 2780 and when i put the coal to it the groups really sucked in. Current lot of H-4350 runs them at 2880fps in a 28" Bart with a 198FB. Did you ever work the load higher?

believe me I tried to get the 140`s to shoot in that bbl and it just wasnt happening,,I loaded as high as 42.8 grs H4350 with the 140 Hybirds and all the groups looked about the same,,something like 1/2 MOA with ever powder I tried and primers and seat depths,,it was just to easy to get the 130`s to shoot I didnt see the point in wasting money trying to force the 140`s to shoot when 1/2 moa was about all I could get from them,,

the 130`s would shoot in that bbl though and I mean shoot well,,I am really hoping this Krieger will shoot the 140`s like that 5R shot the 130`s
