To share an experience; The Black Diamond Media blast has sharp little edges that broke down quickly then packed tightly.
taking the advice of very accomplished shooter we made an 80/20 mix of chromite and blast at 90% fill leaving regular sand in the ears , a tea spoon amount one way or the other makes quite a difference.

My groups improved a bunch just switching from a cheapo Caldwell rear bag to a Protektor rear bag. Not sure whats in mine it came pre-filled??

Each ear is separated from the other as well as the main bag, only the front bag is one bag

Very nice, so the dense mix in the bottom does not contribute to the bouncing that Dusty was concerned about since the ears have sand?

You can never go wrong taking Dusty’s advice.
I found a balance that works for my rifle

Protectors come with regular sand and an optional heavy sand. My DOC Model weighs 12.2 lbs. with the heavy sand.
