6.5x47 Peterson Brass - some data

Hi all,

I just got 2 boxes of 6.5x47 Peterson brass for the gun I've got coming, and I figured folks would like a quick review of what it looks like!

They are all very consistent! Necks were universally 0.0125 thick, lengths were 1.841 +/-0.001 with most dead on, and the weights were 160.8 down to 159.7gns. Most weighed 160.2-160.4gns. Flash holes all clean and looking good.

Based on the 0.0125 neck, you could conclude that a loaded round will measure 0.289. I'll order a 0.288 bushing for my die to start with to get real nice light tension!

Evan,

I bought some of this brass and I will agree with you on the weight and length. As for the necks, I turned mine to .289 which gives me a neck wall thickness of .013. It cleans up about 85% of the neck, which will give me a loaded round of .290. I would not hesitate to buy more.
