6.5x47 Lapua - anyone try - IMR 4320 ??

I have some 4320 and figure burn rate should be between Varget and H4350.

Anyone tried?

Going to use 123, 130 and 140/142s.

What is a 6.5 lapua cartridge? Is it the 6.5x47 or what? Not being a wise guy but without more imfo it is hard to answer your question completely. The wolf(tula) mag primers are very good primers so far from what little I have used them.Others will agree as they are becoming quite popular.

For my Rem 260.

What barrel length, twist , brass etc? I use h4350, 43.1 gr for 140 smk 5 -15 off the lands. On the 123 I use varget, 42.7 and 39.2 one holer, 15 off the lands. I am thinking about switching the 123 to 4064 but have nort read much about this powder in this caliber. I am shooting out of a Rock 8 twist 24".

22.5", 8 twist,

Lapua makes only 1 6.5mm cartridge w/their name in the headstamp to my knowledge, so yes, it indeed is the 6.5x47 Lapua.

I think that you are going to find that IMR 4320 is pretty much the same as Varget, as far as burn rate. It may not stand up to extreme temp changes as well as Varget.

I have used it with 123 gr, shoots ok, but not my 1st choice. Varget was better along worth Reloderv15.

Yes. 37.5 grns. Shot very well at 100 yrds. Shooting 140 grn Hornady ELD M'S. The shot to the right inside the group was the first shot. Then the scope was dialed in.
