6.5x47 build?

I am wanting to build an F-Class comp gun in 6.5x47 Lapua. I think I want to go with a 29" strait taper. My first question is, which action to use. I have narrowed it down to three actions, Stiller Predator V action, Bat model b or Borden rimrock. Will the extra price in the Bat be worth it? Or should the Borden be just as good?

IMHO i believe the Bat action is worth the money. I think there ability to build to such strick tolerences makes a big difference in the consistent result that you get from them.

Funny you posted this thread. I was just talking to Benchmark about the possiblity of making a barrel for my 6.5x47 with a 1:7.5 to 1:75 twist.

The reason being is I have a 3 groove 1:8 twist but she like the 130gr's the best.In fact looking around i seem to have found that most are finding similar results. I want to see if that will make a difference in her ability to shoot the 140grs.

Any of the actions you mentioned will work fine.

I have a Bat model MB and some Barnard model P's. I can't tell a difference performance wise. The Bat is shinier, the Barnard’s are cheaper, come with a good trigger, and no waiting.

My 6.5X47 shoots 140's very well with an 8.5 twist 30" barrel.
