6.5x47 barrel life

Hi all,

Iam thinking of having one built soon, I was wondering what the barrel life is like and what sort of comparisons can be made against the 6mm br for velocity, wind drift, felt recoil, things like that.

I might be wrong, but I don't think anyone has worn one out yet. A .260 is supposed to be good for 2500-3500, a 6mm BR potentially slightly more. I'm guessing it'll be somewhere right in there as well.

As far as all the other stuff... JBM can answer a lot of questions if you feed it the ballpark speeds.
