6.5x47 and the 144gr Berger

I tried the 144 in my 6.5x47 and was amazed how small it shot. Initial loads tested at 100 yds with H4895. I will get around to trying other powders before long as I have a 4 groove 8 twist Bartlein, waiting for me. The recently deceased Stan Taylor turned me on to the H4895, he was right.

I shoot the 6.5x47 with the 144 grain with imr 4451 and can keep it at 1/2 moa group at 600 yards with my bullets mag length. I am gonna mess with the seating depth this week. 41 grain of imr4451 and Lapua brass. I can get 5 shot goups at 100 yards in the .1 and .2 with velocity of 2810 and sd of 1.7 and es of 4 ojive measurements is 2.130
