6.5x47 and the 120gr. Nosler???????

Does anyone have any feedback on the Nosler 120gr. bullets with varget powder??????

I`m building a 6.5x47 with a 1 in 8 twist for my long range varmint gun and i am looking for some suggestions.

PS.... i`d like to be able to run these bullets at 3000 or more as long as i don`t start tearing up my brass....

I found AR2208,Varget is made in Australia and carries this designation locally) to be a bit fast in my 24in barrel 6.5x47. I went with RL15 and found 39gn gave me just under 3000fps,2996fps). This is a stiff load, so please work up.

Phil,

You do not need a 1-8' twist to stabilize a 120gr Nosler. A 1-8.5' twist can stabilize a 139gr Lapua in some cases. If you want to push a 120gr bullet that fast, get a slower, more appropriate twist.
