6.5x300wsm large extreme spread?

??? most of my rifles have an extreme spread of 15-20 fps. however, my 6.5x300wsm has an extreme spread of 150fps or more, and it is not as accurate as i had first hoped. any info would be appreciated.


load is-140gr, h1000, 210 primer

I know of four options…

1.Ladder your current load by 1% changes in powder load.
2.Change powders, Try 4831, RL22, and Winchester Magnum Rifle.

3.Change Primers.
4.Change OAL, It can effect ES/SD.

I would check neck tension carefully, and how your forming your brass.

Yes, if your neck tension is variable, this won't help. Do they seat with consistent tension or are some tight/gritty?

How close to the throat are you. If you're just on it, that could be an issue. Better to be fully off or jammed rather than right on it due to slight variances in projectile dimensions
