SELLING 6.5X.284-BAT M BAT Stock

From my friend Keith's estate. Keith thought about getting into long range years ago when Gritters and friends were shooting at Pella, Iowa or somewhere down there. Don't believe he ever shot it in a match. The action is a 2004 BAT told me. This wooden stock looks like the Hv BAT I have for sale, just a different shade, probably made by BAT machine. It has one small scratch and there is one ding that looks worse in the pic than it really is. Looked in the barrel with my bore scope, was amazed. I have found out it has 60 rounds on it. It weighs 15#, Jewell trigger, BAT M S/N 38320241208_162649.jpg20241208_162507.jpg20241208_114521.jpg20241208_113934.jpg and is RB RP RE. .972@Muzzle. Pillar bedded. Approximately 28" bbl. Not sure what brand. Keith most generally used Kreiger or Bartlien for BR applications.(EDIT:IT'S A 5R RATCHET, PROBABLY KREIGER SINCE BARTLEIN STARTED BUSINESS IN 2005.)Absolutely no marks on lugs and the mark you see on the bolt is superficial. Scope not included, will be posting separate. $3,100 plus shipping and insurance CONUS only. Check or M/O to members with good Trader History.

This is an awesome piece.

Thanks

Good deal on what I'd call new. I'll guarantee this bbl is very close to new as seen from my bore scope. Good wood too.

BAT told me the action is 2004 and I would imagine the rifle was built the same year. I believe the stock was also sold by BAT.

If someone wants the rig less the barrel, I'd be interested in the barrel. I love my 6.5x284. What twist rate was that again?

The heirs came across the brass for this rifle. As I said, the bbl looked nearly new.

There were 60 once fired pieces. We have never seen any dies for this caliber either. Don't know how he seated the bullets???

That tells me the barrel is barely broke in.

I just spent $3,700 for a short range outfit without a scope or barrel.

You won't find a better piece for the price on this 6.5X284

Thanks

Dave

If I didnt already have a BAT M rig, this would be heading to my house. Great scope, great caliber, basically new condition, and what a great deal, especially with the scope being included.

As the ad says in post 1, "scope not included"

Barrel is a 5R Ratchet, most likely a Kreiger as Bartlein didn't start business until 2005. Keith liked Hart's in his 22s and Kreigers in others back then.

This is a very nice rifle and the price is right. I sold 3 6PPC's from Keith's estate and they all shoot, the new buyers said. Barrel is barely broke in on this rifle.

Like new.
