The Forster Bushing Bump Die does not size the case walls. A F/l bushing die does.

Not hardly!

Every die manufacturer has different ideas about die dimensions!

I prefer John Whidden’s myself. Redding’s next.

I'm with spclark on this. Find your problem and then change one thing at a time, learning in these situations will pay dividends when you have another issue down the road. Just my .02, Paul.

I had a die not sizing near the base of the case because what ever reason caused hard chamberings

Update: so my Lapua necks expanded to 0.016 from 0.014 at new after 4 firings and using a Forster bushing bump die. A loaded round came to 0.296 vs my 0.295 neck and so wouldn’t chamber.

After turning the necks back to 0.014 the loaded round comes to 0.292 and chambers without issue.

I’ve picked up a Redding type S die and will try that. I’m not sure what caused the necks to thicken so much but I do have a tight chamber and so I’m sure that’s part of it.

Take a sharpie and color a resized case black or blue And then chamber the case it’ll scrape the ink off where it’s rubbing. it’s A makeshift version of Dyhem lay out fluid.

Will a resized case fit without a bullet. If they won’t fit with a bullet and they will fit without one then the problem is the neck.

If you change everything all at once you’ll never know what the problem was

Since you will have to turn the necks, take handful to 0.012 and see how they shoot.
