anybody played with this combo. I picked up 3 lbs of H4350 already and wanna try them. I only see it paying off if I can push them faster than 2900. Just looking to see if anyone has had any luck with this bullet.
I'm really glad to hear that, I'm gearing up to start loading for my rig, and R26, is one of my choices, 130 class bullets, and I just have this thing about a projectile exiting at or over 3000 fps. It seems like the 26 is the way to go, how is your accuracy. My 6.5 Creedmoor with RL26 shoots 130 ELD-M Out of my 26" barrel @ 3050 fps with good accuracy and low SD my 24" does 3030 with the same bullet with good accuracy and low SD.
Both will push them faster but not with in a good node.
I use HBN as well with mine but It shoots 10 into .428 MOA at 100 yards at 3050 fps, I have groups of 5 that are down to almost .25" at 100 as well if I do my part, some days not so well.I'm really glad to hear that, I'm gearing up to start loading for my rig, and R26, is one of my choices, 130 class bullets, and I just have this thing about a projectile exiting at or over 3000 fps. Thanks for feedback.
I use RL-17 with the Berger 130 VLD Target and getting 2925 out of a 26 in bbl in my 6.5CM
Any more results?Just started trying the 130 ELD-M this morning. Only tried one five shot group and looks promising. Started low with 41.5 gr.H4350 seating touching lands which resulted in a one inch group at 200 yards.
I’m going to play around with these 130s. I have H4350 and 2000-MR (use in my 308) on hand that I can try. Also thinking about maybe trying some Varget with these 130s. Sounds like H4350 is a great powder for the 140s but maybe not the best suited for lighter class bullets? Fair assessment or thinking to hard about this? Lol
Travis, I have been moving up in powder charges. This morning tried 42.5 and 42.8 H4350 and still grouping an inch with the lower weight and only a couple tenths larger with the 42.8 loads. I haven't played with seating depth yet but will once group sizes are as good as I can get.Any more results?
