6.5C, H4350, Berger 140 Target bullets

41.5-41.7gr of H4350 @ 2.800 has shot in every 6.5CM I've owned. I was trying to duplicate the Precision Hunter ammo with the 143 ELDX bullet. I ended up slightly faster. At one point they were using Superformance in Creedmoors, not sure now.
If you have a Hornady reloading manual you'll notice they stop at 41.5gr of H4350 as max. There is a reason for that. Hornady states with some published maxs listed they found nothing that shoots better with more powder. Not all fall into that category but the 6.5 CM does.
I was using 41.5 with Hornady brass and 140 eld's but alpha brass suggested I go down by a full grain due to reduced case capacity. Said I would get the same velocities

I have 2 6.5 creedmoors. One a browning and one a savage. One is using 140 vld hunting bergers with 41.5 gr of H4350. Both are using hornady brass. Try this powder charge, has worked well in a ruger American predator also. With the berger bullets try seating them just touching the lands and then at .020 off. Both has worked for me. Now in another rifle im using the 140 eldm but my accuracy load was with R16 not H4350.

I tried 20 off the lands and the groups were not good.

Try closer first, if no good still then start back off fron .030 off and see. I have a 6.5 prc im using the 156 eol in. In order for me to get a round to fit in the mag im jumping them (i forget off top of my head) arround .130 off lands and at 200 yards all holes are touching each other.
